PILL INJECTION

Body on couchSyringe and pill in pocketThe young man shown here was found dead on a friend’s couch.  The frothy fluid at his nose and mouth is regularly seen in the heroin overdose because the drug stops the breathing before the heart stops beating.  This causes the lungs to fill with fluid which bubbles out of the nose and mouth.

When the body was examined, a needle, syringe, and half a tablet of a synthetic narcotic was found in his pants pocket.  It appeared that he had been injecting the crushed-up pill.

The injection of crushed pills meant to be taken by mouth brings up another life-threatening situation for the drug abuser, pill filler in the lungs.
