PARRICIDE

Neck woundAddiction to cocaine is the most powerful drug addiction.  One cannot keep from becoming addicted with repeated use of cocaine, nor can the addict free himself from addiction without outside help.  The addiction is so strong and withdrawal so terrible that the addict will do almost anything to avoid it.

Stabbing victimPrior to our recent drug era, cases of parricide (killing a parent) were rare.  Today, parricide is almost commonplace.  Most of these cases are directly related to drug abuse.

In this case the woman’s son, who was a cocaine addict, tried to force his mother to give him money.  When she refused be assaulted her and nearly cut off her head.
